November Topic: ​HUMAN RIGHTS

Basic Human Rights are laid out in the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights. Human rights are rights that belong to all people. Human Rights include:
  • Dignity
  • Freedom of movement
  • Freedom of Speech
  • Freedom of and from Religion
  • Freedom of the Press
  • Freedom of Thought
  • Life, Liberty, and Safety
  • Right not to be tortured
  • Right to be considered a person
  • Right to not be arrested for random reasons
  • Right to justice
  • Right to be free from racism, sexism, homophobia, bigotry
  • Right to own property
  • Freedom of Expression

This month we will be writing a resolution which attempts to promote Human Rights in a meaningful way. 

For this month's meetings, each group will investigate their countries Human Rights situation and write a brief summary of it in their google document.
